I have been using easy media creator 9's diskcopier to compile and convert seperate .avi file to dvd's on a hp media center with hp r/w drive. everything worked fine until my r/w drive failed and was replaced with an LG GSA H-55L drive. since then every time i try to use disk copier the write process fails. simply writing to the disk with classic copier does work. i have updated video card driver and reinstalled emc with no help. any ideas what i am doing wrong.

First make sure you have the latest firmware even though you just installed the drive. Firmware on new drives are often updated regularly.
Have you tried a different brand of media? Some drives don't like some brands. You can also try burning to an image file first then use Disc Copier to burn the ISO to disc (or have you tried that yet and it too was unsuccessful?).
