Tried to update to 9.1... My mistake... didn't read the writeup... Have uninstalled using both Roxio and Windows Cleanup procedures... Even manual removal of Roxio and Sonic using regedit... When reinstalling I get to a point where it calls for the content disc... at this point I get a box that says "Please insert the Disk:" There is no info after the Disk: and it will not accept either program or content disk from this point. If I cancel it rolls back. I have tried both my atapi and burner drives with same results. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Failed install emc9

Try copying the disc to your hard drive and running the install from there.

Ok... Success... Did the whole procedure again... This time I used a usb My Book HD as the installation point. When through with no problem. I do think that Roxio could do a better job of making sure reinstallations are not so labor and mentally exhausting. Thanks a lot Beerman... nice job.

I definitely agree that reinstalls should not be so painful but I fear that Vista will only make this worse.
Glad you got it up and running. Check your discs to make sure they're clean and not scratched as that should work though I find installing from the hard drive faster.
