Hello,
I am attempting to import large (10-12GB) recorded tv files in a dvr.ms format using Video Wave . I am running EMC 9.1 Suite with latest updates. I have a Win Vista x 32 machine with Core Duo and 2GB ram with a Nvidia 8500GT 512mb video card, all drivers and firmwares are the most recent available as of this morning (checked again).
When I bring the file into Video Wave it automatically converts to Mpeg from dvr-ms. The file starts out ok, but about 2/3 of the way into the video the audio becomes choppy and is barely out of sync (3-4 seconds). This is not a 100% problem, but happens 90%+ of the time. The mpeg files that Video Wave created work fine if I open it in WMP or another video viewer, so I know the conversion worked out just fine.
Idea's? This has been a problem for months. I have even fresh installed vista/drivers/software since that time. Why does it work sometimes? HELP? Thanks in advance for any assistance and Happy New Years!

I don't use Media Center often as I get my tv with GBPVR but I tried 2 files in VW and did not have any sync problems.
Why not give VideoReDo a try? It's not free but you can get a trial version to see if it helps with the sync. I can tell you I also tried those same two files with it and it worked perfectly.
