Since I installed iTunes, the following errors appear:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Buffer overrun detected!
Program: …d\9.0\Roxio Central33\Main\Roxio_Central33.exe
A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program’s
internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must
now be terminated.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: …Roxio Shared\9.0\Roxio Central33.exe
R6025
-pure virtual functional call

These errors would appear upon Windows startup and whenever emc9 was run. I ran msconfig to disable RoxWatchTray9 in ...program files\common files\roxio_shared... and the errors on Windows startup have since ceased, but they still persist whenever I invoke emc9, and when I dismiss the errors, the program shuts down. Running iTunes does not cause an error.

I have already performed successfully a clean install of emc9, and the behavior before and after this work is identical. My c-drive is 69% open and mostly contiguous.

Apparently, there is a conflict between emc9 and iTunes.

I need some help with this - wrestling w/this problem for > a week now.

IS THERE A PATCH THAT FIXES THIS PROBLEM or SOME OTHER WORK-AROUND THAT I CAN EMPLOY?

try a newer version of Itunes or a older one , as it looks like the version you have may have some issues with EMC

THANK YOU!
I will start working with the iTunes support people to see if I can get a resolution on this - good suggestion. Thanks.
