Hey all.  Trying to get into DVD ripping, editing, and burning.

This is what I'd like to do:

a) edit commercials out of the DVDs that I recorded from regular TV (non copy protected)
b) create a "demo disc" of my favorite sections from commercial DVDs
c) I have some coasters my old DVD recorder made while it started to die.  I want to see if I can pull anything useful off of them.  (The example is that I recorded 2 shows, the recorder dies during the 3rd show, so the disc isn't finalized and the 3rd show is garbage, but can I get the 1st 2 shows off of it?)
d) make a DVD of the movie clips I've taken from my digital camera (AVI files I think)

I think I can do all of this with MyDVD.  Don't need the Premier edition or EC 10?

(I know that Roxio products can't defeat the copy protection of commercial DVDs, but once I take care of that separately, then I can use myDVD, right?)
