Hi my mother recently purchased a Dell computer and it came with Easy Media Creator 9 installed on it. It also came with a cd for the program. I tried to make a dvd with the my dvd 9 program and It won't let me change the menu background. I think I saw the option once when I opened the program but it disapeared a couple seconds after it opened. I am not sure if I can't change themenu background because it is some Dell version of the program or I need to install something off the cd or what.

Is there anyone who can help me with this problem?

You have an cut down OEM version that has that feature, as well as others, disabled.

So you either dump the junk or live within the confines of what you have to work with.

Dell 8300 3.0ghz 1.5gb RAM 300gb & 200gb HDs
XP Pro/SP2
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 w/AGP8X

So there is nothing I can do. I was so excited to see that it came with the computer but that makes me kind of mad that it does not do that with the menus. I mean that should be with the simplest and cheapest of programs. I should not have to pay 50 dollars to upgrade to the full version of 10 or something. I just wante the menu background changed. Oh well. Thank You so much. I figured it might be something like that. I guess I will just ave to find something else.

I can not access the link that you provided. It says I do not have access to that area.

Ahhh, another Vista thing.  There has to be a setting, in Vista, that will let you see a picture.  There is no link.  It is an attached picture that you should see, without doing anything else.

Anyway, when you open MyDVD, under Edit, on the left side of the screen, do you see Change Menu Background?  It is the 5th one down.  If you can see it, is it greyed out?

I am not at my house right now but I am on my vista laptop. Any way I think I did see it greyed out on that drop down menu. Is there no way to fix it or do you know of a way to make it so I can?

If it is greyed out, it means your version does not have that feature, and there isn't anything that you can do about it.  Was there a Content disc that came with your version?  If so, load that.
