Just installed MyDVD 9.  Keep getting a message saying current display settings do not meet minimum requirements and I need to change my display settings to 1024 x 768 resolution and 16 bit color or higher.  My display settings are 1680 x 1050 res and 32 bit color.  I am running Vista.  Thanks

If you are running Vista, Right click any blank spot on the desktop and then click on "Personalize". Then on the next screen in the list of options (last one on the list) click on "Display Settings". On that screen move the slider so you are 1280 x 1024 and set it for Highest, 32 bits in the color box. Then see if that cures your problem. That's what I have my computer running Vista Home Premium and also EMC 9 and 10 and the settings works fine for me.

Not sure.  How can I find out? Is nVIDIA  GeForce 7300LE the video card? Got the PC last summer, is a gateway GM5424.    Also, just got the monitor at Christmas.  It is a Viewsonic VX2255wm.  Not sure if any of that will help or not.

thanks

That's probably a video chip Vs a Video card.  You should update the drivers from the computer manufacturer's web site or directly from NVidia.

Go to Windows> Start> Run. Type in dxdiag> OK.  When the program loads, go to the display tab.  On the left side, you should see the device you have posted and on the right, the driver number and date.  Go to Gateway and see if they have updated drivers for that device.  Follow the installation instructions.

See if that cures the problem.  if not, there are some tweaks that you can try.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
