Hi RoxioLabs,

I just bought your 3gp codec to play my SonyEricsson P1 3GP file with
- But it does not work for me

   - XP Explorer crashes when viewing a folder with 3GP files
   - Windows Media player 11 crashes when opening a 3GP file

I will have to uninstall it….
The XP is fully updated

I attach a P1 3GP file for you to test with

I hope you have or can create a solution for this
I really miss the 3GP support for my mobile

Kind regards,
Sonny

Hi agan,

I just read a bit more on your page and noticed that there where an upgrade option from Creator 9

I have the "Easy media creator suite 9" installed but where not aware that it had any 3GP support

I did install the new 3GP pack on top of what I might have had
- and did not do any upgrade

Can this be the cause?

From this point - what do I need to do?

-uninstall the 3GP pack and Upgrade to 1.2 3GP instead?

Or did I not have to buy anything at all  - just upgrade?

Please advice
Thanks

For those following this thread we will have some feedback soon. We are testing a possible conflict with Pinnacle TV.

Hi Sonny, we found that it’s a bug in Pinnacle’s source filter. Pinnacle forces the system to use their source filter to play the 3gp, 3gpp and mp4, so after the 3GPDecoderPack associate the file types for 3gp, the explorer will use that source filter to get thumbnail.

To solve this issue, you have to make the system to use the default source filter instead of Pinnacle’s.
So, remove the registry key “Source Filter” under “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Media Type\Extensions\.3gp”.

Please let us know if this solves the problem for you.
