I used to have MGI Photosuite II on my old win98se pc.  I have had Roxio PS5, EMC7, 8, 9, AND 10.  I am now running Vista, and still prefer MGI, BUT PS5 is the closest I can find.  I recently reinstalled PS5 and get an error on boot up: CD recording software (driver) is causing system stabitity problems.  I don't use Roxio to burn CDs or DVDs.
1.  Is there a driver that I can download?
2.  Can I possibly uninstall JUST the recording feature in PS5?
3.  Isthere a copy (better yet) of MGI that I can get to work with Vista?
Thanx, in advance!

Since you have VISTA, PS5 or MGI will not install or work. I don't think MGI even exists anymore

Read  here.

Have you used Photo Suite 10, in EMC 10? It and V 9.1 are the only two versions that will run in Vista.

I thank you very much!  Unfortunately, MGI had features that I CAN NOT find today, not to mention its user friendly setup.  PS 5 works in Vista, but I still get an error in reference to the driver.  I guess you have answered my query.  Thanx, Jim.

What features did MGI have that you cannot find today?

Very few programs do.

From here:

"Regretfully, there's no uniform standard of NEF-files today. Every model of NIKON photo cameras supports its own subversion of NEF format. This explains the fact why many software manufacturers do not support NEF files. "

The new(er) versions of Photosuite do NOT have the "Interactive Warp" feature, which I have found very useul (nevermind fun!) in the past!

Trying to find an update for my RP5(5.0.1419.0 ENG), I found that it now does not exist on the 'Roxio' site. After reading the posts, I now must forget using RPS 5 on my Vista Laptop. Thank you!
