Error code [0x80004005] Just bought the software and I can't convert/burn anything.

I have the same issue despite downloading new video drivers and DirectX (via phone modem!). Any solution to this issue, otherwise this software is a complete waste of money!!!!!!!

That particular error is a graphics one - if updating drivers and DirectX doesn't help, then you need a better graphics card (for a desktop). For laptops, I'm afraid that most 'domestic' ones just can't handle the rendering process

I just purchased a new video card to try to fix the same problem and guess what... It's still there. I think Roxio has some serious problems when so many users have 'issues'.

Did you, as advised so many times on this problem:
(a) Update the drivers for the card and
(
You may have bought a better graphics card - but one thing is certain, the drivers are far from 'new' and you have to go to the maker's website and get the latest ones
