I have numerous DVD creation software programs.  Roxio has all of a sudden stopped recognizing my burner. I just wanted to copy a homemade DVD so I could give a copy to a family member. I no longer have the original file, so I thought I would use Roxio to burn a copy of my copy.

I have no idea why, but it no longer recognizes my burner.

Any help anyone can give?

Also, in updates, I can't remember if I downloaded or bought the boxed software, and would be hard put now to find them.  Guess I will have to look.  I wish Roxio kept that info in MyRoxio.

Thanks!

Nope, no joy.

Still doesn't recognize my burner.  Says no device selected.  Every other program I have recognizes it, and Roxio used to.

Any other ideas?

Please provide system Specs.

Also include what other burning software you may have?

Just wanted to let you know:

I did a repair and it works now.

3.20 gig P4; XP Pro/SP2; 2048 gig RAM; 8 kb primary cache; 512 kb secondary cache; 2 160 Gig HD; Radeon 9800 XT; Asus P4C800E Deluxe Mobo; Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-M1712; Plextor PX-708A; Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS Platinum

I also use Studio 9 Plus, I am trying to learn Liquid Edition 6.1. I also use two different backup software programs: Drive Image 7.0 and Acronis True Image.

Thanks Jeff for your help!!
