I have My DVD 9 - I guess its not the Premier version but just studio. There are only several text effects listed on the text effects menu that work. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong or have to upgrade to get more text effects, didn't expect them not to work. Any help appreciated...

Did this MyDVD come with your computer?? If so you probably have a limited version and would need to upgrade to get all the bells and whistles. Hope that helps.

No, I bought the software at a Staples for $49.95. There are numerous text effects but only about 2 or 3 actually work - the rest do not position themselves on the screen for editing, nothing comes up...

Update your video drivers, and see if that makes a difference. What are a couple of the text effects that don't work for you? I will give them a try.

Thanks for getting back to me. It looks like its my bad goof... I went through the text effects one by one, and realized that on the moving ones, you have to hit the play button to get the effects up on the screen and hit pause before you can edit them. They all work.
