While Sony is clearly in front with Blu-ray in the HD format war they seem to be loosing in equal numbers when it comes to next generation games.
Could they have risked the Playstation as a gaming console in order to win the next generation HD movie format?

Personally, I don't think the HD format war is over so Sony hasn't really 'won'. I know several owners of Xbox 360s and they weren't even aware that they could watch DVDs or HD DVDs on it. They use it strictly for games even though they are hooked up to HDTVs.
