Hello All!
I have a Powerbook G4 running OS10.3.9, and I recently bought an Iomega CD-RW external disk burner.
In order to get it to talk to my computer, I bought TOAST 6 Lite.
When I try to burn MPG or WMV files, it fills my discs with six or eight unusable files for every file I have tried to burn.
And iTunes claims that no external drive is present.
I have uploaded updated drivers and it has not helped.
So, um....Help!
Thanks

I'm not clear what is going on or what settings you are using in Toast. However, there is a way to get the Apple apps to recognize the external drive. It is called called Patchburn available at http://www.patchburn.de/. Be sure to install the one that applies to your OS.

As for Toast 6 Lite I don't think it ever was "sold" by Roxio but instead was bundled as free software with certain optical drives. There may be an update available from the Roxio site or possibly from LaCie's support site. If there is a problem then it likely is due to Apple's continuing releases of QuickTime and that no further development is being done with Toast 6 to keep pace. I'm not certain of this but it is possible.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
