Midway through the copying of a DVD movie, the computer freezes right after reading is done.  After I reboot the computer, now where can I find the image file that was read?

Probably can't because you cached it in temp! Save as a Iso Image or a DVD Video folder set. Does that crash the application?

In general, after a DVD is read onto the hard drive,  where is the temp file before it is written to the blank?

Which program are you using to do this?
P4 @3.20GHz on Albatron PX-865PE Pro II with 2GB DDR-SDRAM, FX5900XT video, Viewsonic monitors,
BENQ DW1640, in XP Pro and Windows 7

I blame it all on Global Warming / Global Cooling / Global Staying the Same  [pick one]
