Does anyone know how to transfer video from a Comcast Digital DVR (Motorola DCT6412)? Below is the FAQ from the Motorola website. Is there any way around this?

Can I transfer recorded programs to another device such as an external hard drive, a PC, or a DVD recorder?
No. Currently you can't offload recorded content to any external device from a DCT6208 or DCT6412, even though the data ports are there, the software doesn't support it yet. When the option becomes available through a software upgrade, it will be downloaded to DCTs automatically by service providers/cable companies
Does the DCT6412 support digital video interfaces?
Yes, it features both DVI and 1394-DTV digital interfaces.
Does the DCT6412 support external storage devices?
No, but it includes an IEEE1394 port that will be functional in the future.

Yes it was. I also tried the Dazzle in a stand alone TV w/VCR (no cable box) and received no signal as well.

Well, you posted what the real problem is, in your first post in this thread. Of course you aren't going to get a signal. None is being output from your Motorola!

I was able to transfer video from a Friends Comcast DVR (sorry don't remember the model) to my laptop for testing purposes. I had to Google the DVR model and found Windows XP drivers for it. Connected by firewire (1394) on the front of the DVR, I was able to change channels and record standard and hidef channels. Had to use the shareware app which wasn't very easy to use, but did work.
