Using Media 10 on Vista Home Premium 32 bit upgrade

Original load of Media 10 was with XP SP2

All is well with the program;however, at each boot up I get a Windows message, "Drive blocked due to compatability issues Sonic Solution DLA Sonic Solutions."  Routed to Roxio and they wanted to run a patch.  Ran patch. Another error. For Media 9.

The detail is: "Drag to disk 32 Vista could not be located on your system. Re-install Drag to Disk 32 vista and run patch again."

Never had ver 9, had ver 8 but did a long uninstall routine to removed any trace of Roxio or Sonic.

Ver 10 is fine.

Just want to get rid of the nag screen.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thanks, Dave

Could be that something is still left over from the v8 removal. See if this KB article helps:

Thanks Larry, have tried that. When I run it I get the error message,"Drag to Disk 32 Vista could not be located on your system. Re-install Drag to Disk 32 Vista and run patch again."

As we all know, Drag to Disk is not part of Ver 10. Never liked it anyway.

Well, I guess I will crank up my courage and look in the registry again. Couldn't find it the first time through.

Have you looked at the startup tab under 'msconfig'?

If all you want to do is eliminate the nag screen, if DrgtoDsk is under the startup tab, unchecking it would eliminate the nag screen.

If it's not there, you're going to have to do some further digging.....
