For some reason Roxio 9 won't erase a DVD-RW dvd after it has been written to.  I have tried drag to disc to do this and it won't erase or format the discs.
If I want to over write with Disc Copier it says it is full do you want to erase and it will replace the contents.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Roxio 9 using all the instructions for a clean install but no luck.
I have even replaced my DVD burner (it was gettng old anyway).
The dvd was created with MyDVD.
Is there a bug fix for this?
I tried the knowledge base but it keeps taking me back to the clean install procedure.
Thanks

Place the DVD in the drive, open  My Computer>right click on the drive with the DVD in it, try the erase option from there.

You didn't say if this worked, but I'm guessing it didn't.

If this is happening with only one particular DVDRW, then I'd suspect the disc has died on you.
RW discs have a limited lifespan which gets even more limited if you use them with Drag to Disc, because of the way D2D repeatedly rewrites system areas of the disc. Failure to read and failure to erase are usually indicators that the disc has become a coaster. sad.gif
