I cannot see a post that might assist me.

I have installed and re-installed '9' several times. I install it fully, not keen on Drag To Disc' so I take that out.

Every time I open the progarm to copy a disc, and probably it would have happened whatever feature I wanted, I get a notice to install!!

I do so, install it fully, make sure it is all done , no more request to install. Then it happens again.

When I re-install most it seems to go to the maintiaince/ remove or modify page... it does it's job (again) and I can use it.

My registry has not been interfered with. I just noticed a sonic repairer tool; I think I used it before; I am not sure and anyhow I have just done it again and crossed my fingers.

Previous form suggests it will be OK and deceide to flummox me again.

PS I also need to change my account e-mail address ( not a Yahoo address) how do I do that?

Hello,

If you're getting this strange behavior from the Microsoft Installer, and particularly if you're still getting it despite several install/reinstall cycles, then there's probably something broken in the MS Installer. It would be an idea to download and run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility (MSICUU) available here (click link) [You might also want to make sure you have the latest version of their installer since it's used by so many other programs.]

Uninstall 9 again, read the Microsoft page carefully and then use the utility to clean up the Roxio entry(ies) and finally reinstall 9.

The sonic repairer tool was written to repair a particular Sonic registry key which gets removed by enthusiastic registry cleaners and completely disables 9. You shouldn't need that utility unless a registry cleaner has disabled your EMC 9.

To change your account email address go to www.roxio.com and click on My Account. Log in and then select to 'Update your member profile'.
