When creating an audio cd-r using Sonic RecordNow v.6.5, does using the
"Audio CD for car or home CD player" button automatically convert files to WAV
(i.e. 16-bit, 44.1KHz stereo sound files)?

Hello Terry,

Near enough. smile.gif
The files are converted to CD-audio [2-channel signed 16-bit PCM sampled at 44 100 Hz], according to the Red Book standard.

Just know that if you look at a completed audio cd with Windows Explorer what you will see is a series of 1Kb .cda files. This is normal. They are pointers that show where the actual PCM tracks are on the disc.
