I have a shimmer or jitter in my finished DVD product.

I have EMC 9 and I have created 2 photo slideshows in VideoWave. These slideshows consist of photos only, a soundtrack and a full range of transitions. When played, the preview is perfect. I then add these 2 movies to My DVD. Again when played in preview it is perfect, but when I burn the project to a DVD disc or save as Disc Image File or create a Folder Set the result is a shimmer or Jitter in areas of the images throughout the whole production. I have tried configuring the settings in the Video Card software to see if that would make a change, but to no avail. It seems the problem is in the encoding process?

I have Windows XP Pro and have downloaded and installed the latest driver for my Video Card.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Tell us more. Is the shimmering in images where there is a herring bone, verticle striped object or just a strong pattern. If so, that is the TV having the issue. That's why you don't see a lot of those patterns on regular TV.

To solve this, just use Photosuite or you favorite image editing software and add about a 1 pixel blur to the image. You won't notice the blur except that the shimmer will be gone.

Sounds like you have already tried the ISO file route.

The shimmer does seem to be in areas of pattern in the video image, but this also happens when I play the file set - VOB Files, on the computer! I will try your suggestion and batch process my photos with a blur in photoshop. I will also try removing the Pan & Zoom and the Text Effects in my project prior to burning to see how that works out.

Thanks for you info Sknis
