I have alot of CD's and DVD R+'s that I had left opened in Roxio 9 and now I'm on 10 it shows the files there but I cant add to the disc... and I cant recover the files.

Some people told me I'll have to remove 10 and go back to 9 ... i cant believe theres not SOME WAY to still add to my discs that had roxio 9 used??

Please anyone help!!!?????????????????????????

One suggestion is to install 9 again if it's still not on your computer. EMC 9 aand 10 can coexist together. At least they do on my computers. I haven't tried to use any burned data disc that I left open in 9 and then tried to do a multi-session burn while in 10 but I might try that if I can find an open data disc I burned in 9.

Raye,

what application in V9 did you use to burn to these open disc's? Was it Craetor Classic Data Session based, or Drag to Disc D2d?

It was drag to disc...
I dont understand why Roxio didnt state on 10 "Open Disc burned with 9 will not be viewable or appendable in 10"

I took the other posters suggestion and put 9 back on and i can burn my older disc again smile.gif

Oh Dear, you shouldn't have mentioned Drag to Disc, that's awfully bad luck around here - it brings the Banshee screaming and waving a broom!

Seriously though, we were very surprised when Roxio dropped D2D from EMC 10 since they hadn't mentioned that before it happened. It is thought they dropped it because Vista has the software built-in, so D2D isn't really necessary if you want to use a re-writeable disc like a big floppy or a flash drive. You can just do it in Vista.
Still, reinstalling EMC 9's D2D has restored the functionality for you, and that's good.

Regards,
Brendon
