I have been trying to use "Plug and Burn" to get an entire DV tape to DVD. I have had limited success, many times it throws errors when creating the menus or burning the disc. I think I have had better sucess with writeable versus re-writable discs.
But, I have not yet got it to do what I thought it would do when I purchased the software. I want to create chapter thumbnail menus automatically in "Plug and Burn".
The closest I have gotten is that there will be a title menu with one button that will play the movie and the movie does have 24 chapters, but I really need thumbnail menus that link to each and every chapter to easily view the contents of the dvd movie in the dvd menu(s). I would prefer the chapter menus be the main menu because a single button title menu seems really useless to me, but either way, why can't "Plug and Burn" create the chapter thumbnail menu(s) like I thought it would? Is this some error or bug I am running into? or Does "Plug and Burn" really not create chapter menus? I know that MyDVD 6 did and "Plug and Burn" is really MyDVD 8 right?

MyDVD 8 has nothing in common with earlier versions of MyDVD. The new release is a result of the merger with Roxio and is based more on Roxio's previous products. I've never used Plug n Burn so maybe someone else here can answer your question.

I don't use P&B either but I think what you are going to have to do is Burn to disc (RW), then load the project from the disc into MyDVD and edit to create the extra menus.
The purpose of P&B is a quick and dirty way of going from one source to disc. What you are trying to do is beyond the scope of P&B.
You would probably be better served by capturing your source and creating a Video project in VideoWave and MyDVD.

That's what I was thinking. I think P&B creates automatic chapter marks , but does not create the chapter submenu.
