I bought EMC 7.5 in July, have had it running on my laptop without (too many) problems since then.  I apparently didn't register it (although I thought I had).  I just got a new desktop computer today and am trying to install it in hopes of being able to use videowave without the problems I had on my laptop (slowing to a hault all the time).  Here I am with the two original CDs (install and content), the original user guide, but I can't find my CD key anywhere!  I moved 7.5 hours away in August, and I'm guessing that the CD case/cover that the sticker was on got lost at some point during that time since I keep all my CDs/DVDs in a separate holder (never with the original packaging).

It is still installed on my laptop, and I have looked everywhere I could think of to see if I could find the key somewhere in the software itself with no luck.  Is there anyplace I can go to retrieve the CD key on the previous computer?  I get sick to my stomach thinking about how much money I paid for this thing, yet alone how much it would cost to buy again (which I am NOT doing because I haven't been impressed with the stability/instability and some of the features of the product).  I was planning on using some other program from now on, but I still have some work to do with some old projects and I would prefer to do that on my new fast computer than my old slow computer.  HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe if you contact customer service they might be able to help you but you can't blame them if they don't.   If you had registered, it would be much easier (like you don't already know that).

I hear ya there!  I ALWAYS register everything I buy, but when I first bought this and was using it I was away from internet access.  I thought I went back later to register it, but dang it if I didn't!  This is soooo frustrating!

If you downloaded from Roxio just go to

https://secure.eleme.....pid=12056770

and it should show up near the bottom. Just copy and paste since I can't get a link to work.

Remember to register, I just learned why since I had the same problem you had.

Now it works!
