Newby here and a Friend bought me this program to make a DVD for a birthday gift...I scanned in 186 pictures put in transitions and in the process of adding text to the pictures. (Did a couple and the text is gone....) I still have to add in music
and I have been doing all this in video wave......would it be easier to do in slideshow? I still have alot to do and have to have it done in a couple of days......I think I have made this a lot harder than it should of been.  It has taken me forever to get this far.  Wish I had found this site before I started.  Can I now do it in slideshow? please help.

Use Video Wave to do the slide show.  Most people who have complained about missing text are using the Slide Show Assistant part of My DVD.

For best results, add the text to the internal track of the images; that way they stay with the image if you rearrange the location of an image.  Did you add an effect to the image - like movement?  Switch from storyline view to timeline view, show the hidden tracks.  Make sure that all the text tracks are showing and look for the text indication there.

Watch the third video on this page (link) for some help.

Don't use the slideshow wizard, you will have other problems. Stick with Videowave!
Just because some marketing person (who has never used the program most likely) put "easy" in the program title does not make it so. Creating a slideshow is not a a quick job. I don't know how long you have spent on this slideshow but don't expect to do a reaonable job in a few hours, days would be more like it if you have transition, effects, audio, text, etc.

Ok, now I already have another problem. When I switched to tv/safe zone, all my pictures are being cut off. If I edit and crop they still dont fit in the space properly. How can I move them to make it fit? Please help
