I ran thru the clean install for EMC 8 then tried to reinstall it. I get about half way thru the install and it asks for the disk to be inserted. I only have one disk!? The install will not recognize the disk and run to completion. I have installed this system several times before.
Please help.

If you suspect the disc may have been scratched/smudged, copy it to a folder on your hard drive, and burn from that copy rather than the CD.

Thank you for the tip. That seems to have worked. The only problem is that I have find the videos, photos and music for the dmsd files and reestablish the links.
If you have any ideas on how I can install EMC 10 coresident with EMC 8 I would appreciate it. The install exe does not give the option, unlike most installers, to chose my own destination folder.

I haven't installed EMC 10.0 co-resident with any other version, but quite a few of the gang have.
Asking that question in the EMC 10 'How to' forum should get you a lot of good advice.
I hope it goes well.
Regards,
Brendon
