Is there a way to import photos that are currently saved on my computer into Roxio? When I select Capture/Import in Roxio it doesn't show an option for photos already saved on my computer. I only see options to import or capture for an external source or a drive?

That's because there is no need to capture them, because they are already on your computer. What are you trying to do, and what program, in the suite, are you using to try to do it?

Thanks, I was going about it the wrong way. I just went back into my project and was able to get the photos. Thans for replying to me so quickly. This is my first time to use Roxio so I am trying to work my way through it.

You're welcome. What program are you using?

Read this (Link). It is in the Tips and Trick area of EMC 9 forum. There is a lot more very good, user developed information there and in EMC 10 area of the forum. The programs work alike.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

i just purchased photosuite8. I previously had photosuite 4 and found it very easy to use. I changed because i was having problems when emailing photos. The program would reduce the dpi that i had used in my scanner to 72. I was told that later versions allowed you to send with higher dpi. When i called to purchase, I was told that the menus were very similar. Well they are not and I am having all kinds of problems.
1.First of all, in the old program I would click "get" and choose the place to get the photo from. I did manage to scan a picture and it seemed to go into photo 8 but I'm not sure what I did and it took several steps.
2. Then i couldnt get to edit. I tried several times but it just froze.
3. It appeared that my photos were transferred into photo 8 when i downloaded it but they aren't organized - and have a couple of thousand. Is there a way to transfer the "albums" rather than the individual photos?
I'm sorry this so long (and it's only the tip of the iceberg) - but I'm ready to toss my computer out of the window - if i could lift it that is.
