I burned a dvd of my production and it was almost perfect. Did some changes in videowave. In a previous post it said to rerender the video, How do i do that? I went back and previewed it but it was the original and not the edited version. I brought the new one into my dvd and burned the iso file but i closed it out, went to copy dvd and preview and it was the original. I am so close, with only 2 days left till I have to give it as a b-day gift. Please help. Thank you guys for getting this beginner this far. I would of never figured this out without you.
Thanks again

Make the changes in VideoWave, and save it as another name. Open MyDVD, bring in the new VideoWave production, make any menu changes, etc., and burn it to an image file. Save again, under a different name than the original.

Sadly you did it the right way but it doesn't work correctly in Roxio…

In order for your new VW Edits to be recognized in MyDVD, you have to delete the Title in MyDVD and Add the new dmsm file in… No big deal if there is only one Title but a real mess if it was Title 5 or 8!

You keep using the phrase ' the old one' and it seems to refer to different files. Please be specific so we know what you are doing.

Open Videowave
Load your production file
Makes edits
Then Save the project file (.dmsm)

At this point, I'm not sure what you are doing, but sounds like you render to file (output to file as MPEG 2?).

Open MyDVD
Load project file (.dmsd)
IF you originally added the .dmsm file, YOU MUST DELETE the button. Otherwise it will 'remember' the old file.
Then add back the new .dmsm file and edit chapters as needed.
You shouldn't have to do anything else to the menu. You will however have to check the submenus if you customized those.

If you rendered to MPEG 2 first, you will have to do the same thing. Delete the menu button and then add the NEW MPEG2 file.

In addition to the others questions, just to be clear, by "save the iso file" are you saying you did go thru the burn process of creating a new image (.iso) file from the new project and the new iso file does not show the changes?

Likewise there is a Language that has to be used to convey understanding.

I have no idea what 'deleted the old one' could mean??? (as Gary pointed out)

If you open the MyDVD project now, what is in it?

Sorry, When I say old one i mean the original. When I edited the video in videowave I saved it with a new name. When I opened my dvd the original AND the new one was listed. I opened the new one ( or the edited version) , added menu and previewed it and saved it to iso file with a differrent name. Went to my documents right clicked on the original iso file and deleted it, right clicked on the original file and deleted it. I then went back opened the edited version in my dvd watched it, saved it again to iso file (becuase when i deleted the original iso file i did not see the new edited one listed). I then went to video and convert video opened it up (the only video it showed listed ) brought it in previewed it and it was the original. Sorry I sound so confusing. but I am confused. Now when I open my dvd it only shows the "edited version" with the new title.

I have no clue why it wouldn't change to the new version. When you preview it, in VideoWave or MyDVD, does it preview right?

Open VideoWave. Click on Tools/Options, and click on the Clear button by Proxy files. Close VideoWave, open again, bring in your new version of your production, and see if it previews ok.

Now that you've deleted the original. Open up MyDVD with the Edited version.

Save it as an 'image file' again and give it a new name. Make note of the location where it is stored.

Now open Video and Convert and select the new name image file. You should get the new file and the preview should show the changes.

I have no idea what happened before, but it sounds like it was still linking to the original file.

Ok, I am at work now, when I go home at lunch I will try it.
