When using Wave 10, the creation looks great on the computer. All graphics, mostly JPG, look awesome.  Some are used to cover the entire panel, some are used just to cover the bottom right corner, like how a tv channel might keep its channel name overlayed.  When I burn to DVD all the graphics look horrible on small televisions and worse on large screens.  Some of the graphis are huge files to begin with and I size them down for use and they still look aweful.

Any hints.  What do I need to learn?

Did you burn to a disc in MyDVD, or to an image file?  Did you try software rendering?

I used the burn to dvd option using the "my dvd express" option.  What do you mean by "did you use software rendering"

Open MyDVD.  Click on Add New Movie.  Browse to where you saved your VideoWave file.  It will have a .dmsm file extension.  Bring it into MyDVD.  Click on Tools/Options, and click in the circle to the left of Software.  Then try burning it to a DVD.

One caveat.  If you had 3-D transitions in your video production, they won't show up, using software rendering.

So, will this keep the graphics looking better? If so, then how would you produce a video that both uses the 3-d transitions and renders the graphics well?

There has been problems with NVidia video cards, and hardware rendering.  I always had to use software rendering with my 7900GT video card.  I think it is a combination of poor drivers from NVidia, and the Roxio software.

I rarely used 3-D transitions, but you have to use hardware rendering to get them, and you should be able to use hardware rendering, and get a good output, if your video card is up to snuff.  This didn't happen for me.

What video card do you have?

You have a better NVidia card than I have/had.  I would see if I could make the production look good, without using the 3-D transtions.  It is a workaround that shouldn't have to be done, but I have produced a number of video productions, that looked great, without 3-D transitions.

Check here (link) for an updated driver for that video chip.

You may also find something useful here.
