I'm using Roxio DVDit Pro HD 6.3. The video is .avi format and is only 700 mb. I added the movie into the program and went to press burn. It says the file is too large to burn to a 4.7gb disc. How do I get this to burn? Thank you for any help.

that's generally longer than the amount of content you would fit onto a DVD-5. you can go into your transcoding settings (file > project settings > SD transcodeing) and take your bit rate down to 4 or so, but the quality of your encode won't be very good.

there is a good bitrate calculator here:

Mike Smith in my opinion you should do like me : always choose "Write Volume" instead of "Burn Disk" (because if you choose to burn directly, DVD It Pro HD sometimes makes mistakes on the final movie size).

Then you can just right-click the folder, choose "properties" and check the real size. Then use your own burning software and a choose disk that can fit the size (DVD single or dual layer / BD-R single or dual layer) smile.gif
