I usually drag the .avi file to Toast and let it burn. That takes about 6 hours or so for a 1 hour show. Is there a better way?
Thanks

Lots of Ram and a fast Mac are the best ways to shorten encoding time.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

It took 16 (!) hours to encode and burn an .mkv format movie and
I have 1.66 Gb CPU Intel Mac and 1Gb of physical RAM
