Hi All,

I am having a problem burning DVDs and CDs.  I am using Easy Media Creator 7 and a NEC AD-7170A and Lite-On DH20A4P burners.  I was able to burn several CDs, DVDs, and dual layer DVDs with no problems, then one day, I started getting "Logical unit communication failure - Hardware error." [04/08/03] errors.  Needless to say that the resulting disks are now coasters.  That's when I went out and bought the Lite-On.  But after 2 DVDs, I am getting the same error.  I checked all the cables and stuff so I'm not sure what's going on.

The only thing I can think of is that I uninstalled WMP11 and reinstalled it.  Since then the DVD burner hasn't worked right.  But I can't see why this has anything to do with Roxio.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Uninstalling WMP11 did it.  I now have two working DVD burners in my system.  Thanks.

I guess I would need to buy the latest version of Roxio if I want to install WMP11 again?

Or IE 7, seems they both were built for Vista. Thanks for the feedback!
