Deleting Dvd Section

I've down loaded a movie to a dvd +rw I've been trying to delete the first 1:18 of the movie. I've tried everything I read on the forum and still can't remove it. Is there a problem with the software, can someone help me.

are you trying to edit the movie on the DVD with the software?

Bill,
you copy or capture the DVD to your computer hard drive. Then open Videowave and add it to a project, do your cutting and trimming in Videowave. Then use MyDVD for menus and burn the project to a new DVD disc!

What format is your movie in on your DVD /RW?
