Since updating my Creator 7, the DVD builder went from not launching at all to giving a runtime error.  I've tried updating direct X, the DVD firmware, Windows XP and Internet Explorer and continue to get 2 different runtime errors each time the DVD Builder launches.  The other programs in Creator 7 work ok.

Try this hotfix.  I don't know if the link is still available.

Also, use free versions of AdAware and Spybot to get rid of any spyware/malware on your computer.

Unable to open "Edit video" in EMC7.5.  Whenever I clicked "Edit video", "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" box popped up, "Buffer overrun detected! ... program must be terminated."  I tried everything suggested to me including Adware, RoxiZap, etc. etc.  but no solution to the problem, yet.  Your help with tips, instructions or anything that could shoot the trouble will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.  Jim   :)

:D When I browsed through many messages after this message, I arrived at musscat's message - "Cleanup Help Needed!"   I tried the tip as suggested in the reply to the message - C:\ ..... proxy.  It is to be either deleted or relocated to a different place.  BINGO!  Big      !!!  WOW!!!  I could hardly believe why it is that simple!  I tried numerous tips and suggestions including roxizap, AdAware, and many other tips that I found  in these discussion groups and even tips from Roxio - all without success.  after a whole month!  Roxio didn't find the solution???  Microsoft didn't help much???  I would have given uninstallation and re-installation of Windows XP a last resort.  Glad that it made my big day!  I now can open VideoWave7.  :D  Now - how can the problem be prevented from happening again while editing a long video project - before my PC would unexpectedly shut down on me?  :D  Much many thanks be extended out to those who tried their best to help me.     :D  Jim
