Sound Track Volume

Ive just completed a videowave production using EMC7.5 with some sound affects,and would like to lower the added sound track for several slides.Is there any way to do that easily,ie,not having to edit many sections of the sound track--thanks

Hey Bob, yes is the answer to your question. In videowave view, look at the icons just above the tracks, there is a green ball with little white sticks on either side, click on it then go down to the track in the area you want to adjust click on the track and while holding the mouse down drag the ball up or down. Then go to where you want the volume to change again and click on the track and again with the mouse held down drag the ball back to where it was. Test the sound and if it is correct then click on the icon again and the track will return to normal. If this doesn't explain it well enough let me know.

You could also export the track to edit in an audio program.  I've done that quite a bit.

You can do that, but if it's only several slides, I'd recommend Patty's method.  

It's easier to tell just where you want the music to lower on the added soundtrack.

It also depends on where you added the soundtrack.  

If you added the soundtrack to the external timeline track, then you should be able to edit the soundtrack over the entire movie in one editing step.  If you added it to the internal soundtrack ( which doesn't sound likely from what you've said), then you have to edit each internal soundtrack.

thanks for the excellent idea--after several false starts,i figured it out--very simple way of lowering the sound levels whenevr i add sound affetcs--thanks for the usual excellent advice--how did you learn all this stuff??
