Restore Aborting After Showing Error Msg File System Error -36

Hi any one has any idea how to work around this problem ? Got a set of spanned dvd's from a subcontractor when I am restoring the set , on the 2nd dvd  Restore will abort after showing  a "file error message" - "A file system error -36 has pccurred. Restore will abort.

It is likely the disc is damaged or dirty and cannot be read. Have you tried copying the folders/files from the disc to your hard drive to see if all the disc can be read?

Ok will give that a go - fingers crossed if it damaged disc the copy would be a no fly situation.
