When I try to use WMP 11 to play a DVD with .vob files on it, I get an Roxio error message: "Your activation period has expired." (I bought the Dell system in 10/07 with Roxio "Record Now" and "My DVD" pre-installed.)

Same thing happens when I try to open "My DVD."

How do I get to play DVDs or use MyDVD?
Which program do I use to make copies of unprotected DVDs?
                            Thanks, CMA

Have a look at this post, which is pinned to the top of the EMC9 General forum.

Brendon, your original post was great. I found the original installation CD and downloaded Sonic's repair utility.
But you did not mention how to get the CD's key from the installation CD.
    What would you suggest?
Since my Roxio Record Now and MyDVD came preinstalled with my Dell system, and since Dell supplied a Roxio CD ("Roxio Creator MyDVD Combo LE") not in a jewel case and with no product key, I don't think a reinstall of the program would work.
                                            Thanks, CMA
