A quick question regarding media....
I have some older blank DVD+R DL 2.4x discs. They burn great for DL applications. I noticed that they also have the RW insignia. Does this mean that are re-writeable too?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
No, you've run into the LOGO confusion I'm afraid.
The DVD plus disc structure was developed by members of the DVD + RW Alliance, so DVD+ discs will also carry their RW logo.
The DVD dash disc structure was developed by members of the DVD Forum, so DVD- discs carry their disc logo.

The first three logos are on 'plus' discs, and the last is a 'dash' disc. It's all very confusing, but rewriteables should carry the word 'rewriteable' or else say on the disc and packaging, DVD-RW or DVD+RW.

And there is no such thing as a rewritable DL disc. There was some announcement that they were being developed, but that was 8 months ago…

Thanks very much to both of you for your response. This can be very confusing.
