I posted this originally under the Toast 9 forum, but it was suggested I check this forum instead. I couldn't find my specific error so I thought I'd post my problem here:
I'm using Toast 9.0.2 on a brand new MacBook Pro running OS X 10.5.2 with 35 GB free space on the HD to convert a TiVo file to DVD. At the end of the encoding process, I get:
Couldn't complete the last command because of a Mac OS Error. Result Code = -50
Basically, I go through the options to create a menu, then the only option I changed was to tell Toast to encode at best quality rather than better quality.
It doesn't matter if I choose to burn to a DVD or burn to a disc image, I always get this error at the end of the encoding process.
I then tried to configure Toast to not reencode the TiVo file, but the same error still occurred right after Toast was done multiplexing.
I also tried repairing the disc permissions on the MacBook Pro. Two disc permission problems were found with files in /system/library/java and successfully repaired. In the end, though, I still received the same -50 error code after reencoding and after multiplexing (no reencode).
Any idea here what the cause might be?
Thanks!
Michael
