I'm trying to create a video DVD using DVD Builder in using Roxio 7. I can add titles to my project and it displays how much space will be used in the project bar, but it will not show the video/chapters in the production editor panel. I can burn the video DVD and view them with Media Player, but I cannot view them on a regular DVD player because there are no chapters displayed on the menu.

I've tried this on my home PC and work PC which both run XP with the current service packs, both have the same problem. I've tried creating a DVD with my laptop which is running XP with no service packs and I don't have the problem, but I can't burn DVDs on the laptop. The service packs are the only difference between my laptop and the two PCs.

Any way around this without uninstalling the service packs? I've also tried uninstalling/reinstalling Roxio and I've installed the Roxio update to no avail.

My guess is that you also have installed IE 7 (and possibly WMP11) on the ones where you are seeing that issue. Both of those cause parts of EMC 7 not to work. Try uninstalling IE 7 and rolling it back to IE 6. There's a pinned post at the top of this forum with instructions.

It seems there has to be an easier way around this. I've run EMC V7 with both IE7 and WMP 11. Unfortunately I took EMC 7 off and when I reinstalled it it won't work (ie no titles on DVD creator module) Quite frankly using EMC 7 or any version isn't worth destroying web capability.

EMC 7 does not work with IE7 installed blink.gif What web capability is destroyed by "using EMC 7 or any version"?

You didn't do any video work, in EMC 7, with either of those installed.

I answered your post, in the EMC 10 forums. If you don't want to roll back, let us know.
