I wonder if anyone could let me know the straight information.
I have a external dvd burner with roxio easy media creater 9.  I do not have any problem burning on to dvds and cds, however, the dvds do not recognize with my interneal dvd/cd player on my sony vaio laptop.  I thought it was something to do with finalization, but when i tried to finalize dvd, the computer gives me a message "Please insert an appendable data disc that is cd media or dvd write-once media." ...  As a result, I can play back CDs but not DVDs, thoguth, the DVDs which were created by other machine works on my lattop without any problems....

I have tried to install this and that in order to solve the problem but haven't succeded yet..

You didn't give us enough information to even make a wild guess!

All DVD's burned by MyDVD are finalized, it is not an option you will even find.

Will these discs play anywhere else?

If not, need full step by step detail of how you are creating them and what media you are putting them on.
