Hi, I have been helping a friend, who is not very IT literate, with a few things. She had Photosuite 7 installed but also wanted the older Photosuite 5 as well, as it had some features she liked that were not in version 7. So I installed Photosuite 5 for her. It went into a separate folder and all seemed well. However, she is now reporting that Photosuite 5 'sees' old files, as thumbnails, that are no longer present. When she clicks to open said file it then reports that the file is not present. Currently existing files are not shown (or some may be, I am not near her PC so I cannot be entirely sure).
My question is... well, 1) does anyone have any idea why this is happening, and more specifically 2) is it possible to have two versions of Photosuite installed simultaneously?
Environment is Windows XP SP2.
Thanks for any help, John

It's possible that those old files are in a different folder and that's why PhotoSuite 5 can't 'see' them. She'd have to find the folder where the project files are stored and either move them to the PhotoSuite 5 folder or open them in that folder. PhotoSuite 5 will NOT be able to open the projects that she created in 7 (and vice versa.)
As long as they are in separate folders, I think both versions should be able to work separately, but I don't know for certain.

Hi ml, Thanks for your reply. As you suggest, it seems like some kind of mix up with folders, projects, etc. I'll have another look at it.
