Hi, I have been helping a friend, who is not very IT literate, with a few things. She had Photosuite 7 installed but also wanted the older Photosuite 5 as well, as it had some features she liked that were not in version 7. So I installed Photosuite 5 for her. It went into a separate folder and all seemed well. However, she is now reporting that Photosuite 5 'sees' old files, as thumbnails, that are no longer present. When she clicks to open said file it then reports that the file is not present. Currently existing files are not shown (or some may be, I am not near her PC so I cannot be entirely sure).
My question is... well, 1) does anyone have any idea why this is happening, and more specifically 2) is it possible to have two versions of Photosuite installed simultaneously?
Environment is Windows XP SP2.

You should be able to have both versions work as long as they are in separate folders like she has on her computer.
I don't know for certain, but my guess would be that the version 5 has lost the 'link' to the files. You are going to have to figure out how to 'relink' them because I don't have that version of Photosuite. It's probably in the 'options' menu.
Also, make certain that she doesn't have Internet Explorer 7 installed because it 'breaks' portions of the Roxio products that she has. She needs to uninstall IE 7 and version 6 will automatically reinstall when she restarts her computer (if she has Windows XP).
Also, you might want to make certain that she has those pictures backed up to CDs or stored in a free online photo service..... more info here: http://www.roxio.com/enu/solutions/roxiolabs/resources.html
I hate to see people lose their family memories and it happens all to frequently to people who don't back them up. There could be something else going on that has caused her to lose the link, so make certain she's got those photos backed up to CDs and/or online.
