I have Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 and received (for X-Mas)
Pinnacle's Instant DVD recorder (uses Dazzle, similar to Roxio)
which I successfully used to transfer lots of parts of different
VCR's (tapes) to DVD discs.
However, when I attempted to copy these discs to other DVD discs
(using MY DVD), I could play the video portion of these copies on
my stand-alone DVD player--but I could NOT hear any audio--in spite
of hearing it in the preview screen in 'MY DVD.'
I have tweaked the "Project Settings" in MY DVD to no avail.
I have downloaded & ran the pxengine3_00_58a.zip file.
I have already upgraded my firmware on my Plextor DVD-R
drive and upgraded my Video (display) program.
Since both the video & audio work well on the preview screen in MY
DVD, I assume that my DirectX program is satisfactory (I have not
downloaded any recent upgrades to it).
I am running Windows XP with SP-2
CPU = 2.4 GHz
RAM = 1 Gig
Two (2) Hard Drives (20 Gigs & 200 Gigs)
This AM, I used MSCONFIG to eliminate the startup & system tray
programs, re-started Windows, again tried to transfer the files
(burn) to a DVD, and again got the video to go to the DVD disc,
but again no audio heard in the copied disc on my stand-alone DVD
player-in spite of extensive "tweaking" of the DVD player options.
Am I missing something simple here??
Thanks

Are you simply trying to make a copy of the existing DVDS which you had created using Pinnacle? If yes, then you should be using DiscOpier and not myDVD.

Thank you for your reply.
