Trial is about to expire and I am not interested in purchase of the upgrade. I am running VISTA on a Dell XPS notebook. I am warned when attempting to uninstall that my system is vulnerable and may experience disk failure. Anyone who has experienced removal of the Roxio Trial Software????

Can anyone tell me if I stand to lose data or have a disk crash? As one can see I am NOT experienced in software. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thank you

Understand I am only guessing here since I have not run BOT, but that sounds like the same message you get when you go to uninstall or disable your anti-virus, where it makes it sound like the only reason your system is working at all is because it (the anti-virus program) is holding all those nasties at bay, and the second it is stopped, they'll pounce and infect your system and by golly then you'll be sorry. A not-so-subtle way to get you to leave it installed and buy/renew the subscription.

Of course, that doesn't mean that the disaster you're warned about won't happen.
