My sonic dvdplus will no longer burn dvd's. Either from copying another dvd or by trying to burn from my camcorder, which it used to do both well. It will still burn cd's but not dvd's. Please help me with this problem as it is very frustrating. Thank you!

Do you get any kind of error message? Can you describe the steps you are using all the details about the failure point?

I get to writing files - burner light flashes a lot - then light stops flashing or just flashes very little - it then ejects disc - then unknown error 2131042562 -4 comes onto the screen - I click ok to terminate and then I get the message - Mediahub.exe application error instruction at 0x00000000 referenced memory at 0x00000000 could not be read. Can you help?

Is your OS XP?
Did you update WMP to v11 and/or IE to v7?
If yes, then it's possible they are the cause of the problem. Both IE 7 and WMP 11 will cause errors like that. I have usually found that rolling WMP back to v10 corrects it. If not, roll IE 7 back to 6.

I rolled back to WMP v10 and IE v6 but still doesn't record to DVD. I tried to record from my JVC camcorder and it gets to the point where it is writing the files to disc, then it just stops after a few bars on the screen light up. Could the burner be bad? I haven't really used it alot . I have copied a few movies and burnt a few home movies from my camcorder. What else do you think. Thanks for your help!
