My Samsung DVD-R137 player wont read Divx 6 (according to Samsung there is no fix)
how do I revert to Divx 5?
I tried to delete all the DIVX 6 files and reinstalled Toast 8.03 thinking that would do it but DIVX 6.4.0 still appears when  Select  Video - Dvix
Any suggestions -  other than a new DVD Recorder...

Guys at DIVX.com say
"Toast 8 also has DivX 6.x built-in. Toast is not using the DivX tolls installed int eh system. It's uising a custom SDK hidden in the application itself. Uninstalling the DivX file mentioned in this thread won;t make any difference for you from within Toast unfortunately."

So now I'm really confused because Toast 8 did work?

Out of curiosity… Does the file you get end with a .divx or .avi extension??
I've seen players reject files with the .divx extension. You could rename it to .avi if it is the case (since .divx files are AVI anyway).

Both. but the player will play divx 5 so it's back to Toast 7.3

Samsung informed me there is no patch for Divx 6, if I burn as a dvd it's fine...
so i use T9 for most stuff and 7.3 for divx files
