Having Toast 9 and the plugin do I still need a high definition or ble ray burner to create high definition DVD's? I have a iMac with OS 10.4.11. Can I still burn in HD with Toast 9 and the plugin with a regular DVD 4.7 Gb and still get the high def quaility.
Imac Intel 27" 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7, Sony SR11 camcorder, Canon Powershot 750 SD IS, Canon 7D, PS3, Xbox 360 HDTV, Western Digital 3 TB drives and Samsung Dual Monitors.

My understanding is you can burn a short HD movie to a standard DVD but it still requires a Blu-Ray player to play it.
You've asked several questions on various posts and it would be best if you made one post that asked all your HD questions. Also, have you read Toast Help where it describes burning DVD, HD and Blu-Ray DVDs? Have you browsed through this forum for other threads about HD burning to see if your questions are already answered?
What is the source for your HD video. You say you are using iMovie. What created the HD video that you are working with in iMovie?

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
