I have been burning and printing to Lightscribe disks today. I burned and labeled three disks with Disk Cover RE, but not when I try to print exactly the same label file, I get an "internal error - program must be restarted error" every time I try to print to a disk. I have tried several disks, restarted the computer, etc., but absolutely nothing works. The fault in this piece of garbage software, because the same computer will print labels on the same drive, using Lightscribe's own Simple Labeler.

This has blown three hours of my afternoon, not to mention stopped me being able to produce disks. I am really angry about this kind of junk software that simply quits with use. Any suggestions?

System: iMac G5, OS X 10.4.11, external La Cie CD drive, Toast 9

I don't use Disc Cover so I probably shouldn't reply at all. Am I correct in understanding that you could use it to write one label but then couldn't write the same label on multiple discs? There's a link to Belight's web site in the Help menu. I see a heading there about a 2.0.5 update that "fixes printing issues" but I didn't look to see if it is your issue. On their downloads page there is a version 2.0.5 download for RE users with Toast 9. Maybe that will fix the problem.

I used it to write several copies of the same label (one at a time), after which it then gave me this error for every subsequent attempt. I did upload and install version 2.0.5, but it gives the same error. I also made sure I have the latest drivers for Lightscribe, but without success.

The only thing I can think of is to trash the com.belightsoft.DiscCover2.plist file in your User>Library>Preferences folder.
