Is there any difference between the disc format of a DivX disc and that of a UDF DVD-ROM?
(I'm not asking about the files on the disc.)
Thanks

I think DivX is an ISO 9660 format rather than UDF.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

I'm not sure what the difference would be in this case. For a Toast-produced DivX DVD, Disk Uility gives both ISO and UDF information, and Toast claims it is a UDF volume.
But, for what it's worth, I've been able to play a hybrid (Mac/PC) data formatted disks with avi files on many DivX-compatible TV DVD players, especially Phillips.
I guess where Toast is concerned, the chief thing is that avi/DivX files are checked for compatibiliy, and modified if necessary so that they're "up to spec".
